Challenges and learning, more than anything else, are what drive me. But what really interests me, what I am really curious about, are relationships. How things work, how they fit together, and what we can learn from observation. Data is everywhere, at the hospital where I work we are surrounded by health data, business data, financial data, data, data, data. I see so much potential – and I want to do something with it. I want to understand the data, see what it can teach us, where we make mistakes, and where we can improve. I want to reveal the underlying story and take away the mystery. So I am studying data science to see where it leads me and with the hope of pivoting into a role where I can chase down these fascinating stories and make them known.
